FORMER Doctor Who star Jon Pertwee was seriously ill with pneumonia yesterday. The 72-year-old actor was promoting a video of his Worzel Gummidge TV series in Leeds when he collapsed.
Jon, who became famous as the time lord during the Sixties and Seventies, lives in semi-retirement in Putney, South London.
