ERIC IDLE won't be playing Dr Who in Steven Spielberg's new £20million production.
Some reports claimed the Monty Python star would get £34,000 an episode when filming starts in California this summer.
But Eric says: "I never accept a role I haven't been offered. Besides, I'm waiting to hear if I'm the new James Bond."
