[edit]

TWO DALEKS have vanished in transit from Wales to the BBC in London. The monsters from television's "Dr Who" are each worth £500.

A BBC spokesman said: "Unless there has been a time-warp the Daleks have got lost. Perhaps they got fed up with being beaten by Dr Who."

The BBC don't anticipate the monsters being missing for long. If anyone can spot a Dalek it's child aged two to 102. They were being asked to try to find them on today's "Blue Peter programme.

The monsters are needed for new "Dr Who" episodes soon.

The BBC did not accept one theory that sea monsters - depressed by their lower viewing ratings - had kidnapped the Daleks.

Fears that the world's population will be exterminated are stated to be groundless.
