FANS have been told to "keep calm" after they gave a mixed response to the news that David Tennant, 41, and Billie Piper, 30, would be guest stars in the BBC's 50th anniversary special.
Although they are thrilled to learn that the former Doc and his sidekick Rose will be back on the 3-D show, they are concerned that BBC is ignoring stars of the sci-fi show from the 1960s, 70s and 80s for the landmark episode in November.
One moaned: "Love the news about Tennant and Billie but I hope other Doctors and companions are invited to take part.
"We are, after all, celebrating 50 years of Doctor Who and not just the last eight years."
Last night the BBC said the cast had not all been revealed yet and that "other names" will be announced this week.
Meanwhile the new series starring Matt Smith, 30, was launched on Saturday with 6.7million viewers.
Next week he and his new companion Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman, 26) will face scary new aliens The Vigil, below, in The Rings of Akhaten.
