[edit]

FOR THE life of me I cannot understand what possessed Richard Briers to become involved in Doctor Who (BBC 1).

Clearly this drivel has been shunted into adult viewing hours because the schedule planners realise that the kids wouldn't tolerate it The new Doctor, bumping into the scenery, is the very essence of bewildered regret, as are we viewers.

The story is rubbish, the performers are rubbish, and the settings are rubbish. Unfortunately, it's In the can rather than the bin, and there are two more episodes of this optical emetic to endure.
