Calling all Trekkies (and Trekkers), Time Lords, Yoda fans and hobbit lovers. It's time for Tri-Con II.
Tri-Con II, a science-fiction gaming convention sponsored by the N.C. State University Gaming Society, is today through Sunday in Poe Hall on the NCSU campus.
The festivities will feature films, episodes of the "Dr. Who" and "Star Trek" series, game workshops. trivia contests and lectures by M.A. Foster, Dave Drake, John Kessel, David Weber and Wes Ives.
Festival hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p m. today, 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $6 for the public, $5 for students and $4 for members of the gaming society. Anyone wearing a costume gets $1 off the admission price. There's an additional charge of $2 to enter the Dungeons and Dragons, Risk and Traveler tournaments. For more information, call
