The University of North Carolina Center for Public Television invites the public to visit its pavilion, which will be locatd near the Dorton arena.
Scheduled guests include:
— David Newell of "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood," tomorrow.
— Roy Underhill of "The Woodwright's Shop," Saturday and Sunday.
— Host Bob Thomson of "The Victory Garden," Tuesday.
— Susan (Loretta Long) and Gordan (Roscoe Orman) of "Sesame Street," Saturday.
Ms. Long and Orman will perform a variety show for children at noon, 2, 4 and 6 p.m. on Saturday. The shows are free of charge.
In addition, the national "Dr. Who" tour will be part of the Center's pavilion throughout the 10-day fair. This sophisticated mobile exhibition was built by the British Broadcasting Corporation in support of its television cult classic "Dr. Who," which is seen on more than 180 PBS stations nationwide.
The animated roadshow features monsters and villains from the show, figures brought to life through various special effects and animation. Another feature of the exhibition is "Bessie," a bright yellow vintage car built for actor Jon Pertwee, the third Dr. Who.
