The actress and singer loves Sooty and Dolly Parton

1 Where are you?

I'm in a very small theatre production office in London, with a window that is so tiny I can't see anything out of it.

2 When you joined 9 To 5: The Musical, Dolly Parton released a video to say how wonderful you are. How was that?

It was hilarious! Dolly is such a legend. I can't wait to meet her when she comes over to see the musical.

3 You play the role of gossipy secretary Roz Keith. Are you a gossip in real life?

I'm not much of a gossip at all, but I think there is a bit of Roz in us all.

4 You only ever released one single, Just One Kiss, in 1984. Why no more?

I was just too busy. Maybe I should ask Dolly to write me a song as the follow-up!

5 You won Opportunity Knocks aged six. How do you feel about talent shows such as Britain's Got Talent?

I only entered as it was something to do on Saturday afternoon! The current talent shows are a great platform, but they also sell a lifestyle that can be very quickly taken away.

6 You were companion to Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy on Doctor Who. Do you tell them both they're your favourite Doctor?

Of course! I appeared in 1986 and 1987, which are now known as the classic years. Doctor Who is a dynasty that lives on.

7 You've appeared on lots of TV shows with puppets. Who was your favourite?

I don't want to upset Orville or Emu, but Sooty and Matthew Corbett were like family to me. I loved The Muppets, too, and I would have loved to perform with them.

Bonnie Langford appears in 9 To 5: The Musical at the Savoy Theatre, London
