I was lost in admiration for the beautiful re-creation of Doctor Who: the Daleks in Colour (23 November BBC4). A sprawling epic was carefully edited to honour the original yet give it a new lease of life enhanced by the new score and the colourisation.
The care to correct slight "Billy-fluffs" and subtle revisions to the dialogue (the Daleks talk of the Kaleds - their original form, not mentioned in the series until 1974) was masterful. Thank you, Doctor Who, for all the joy you have given me over 60 years.

In RT (25 Nov), Jodie Whittaker is called "the first female Time Lord". Keen Doctor Who fans will tell you that this isn't true. Michelle Gomez played Missy, a female Time Lord, when Peter Capaldi was the Doctor. We've seen many other female Time Lords over the years.

You're quite right. In the 1970s and 80s Tom Baker's Doctor had a Time Lord companion, Romana. Kate O'Mara played renegade Time Lord the Rani. Dinah Sheridan and Claire Bloom are among those who have also played Time Lords.
