Businesswoman Dr Leah Hertz explains to NICK NUTTALL the aims of one of two campaigns being launched this week to promote women.

Experience : BBC secretary who became television producer responsible for 'Dr Who,' 'Edward and Mrs Simpson,' 'Minder,' 'The Naked Civil Servant,' etc. On the board at Thames ; chief executive of Euston Films ; head of production, EMI, until last November for a reputed salary of £100,000.

Dr Hertz : 'It would be nice to see someone chairing the BBC who has direct television experience. Verity Lambert knows how to make award-winning programmes, how much they cost and how production schedules work.'
