Don't tell Dr Who ... but he will soon be coming face to face with the monster pictured above.

It is a shaggy-haired, sub-human reptile with and EYE in its MOUTH.

And it is called a Monoid.

But the doctor will also have a pleasant surprise - a new, lovely Space companion named Dodo, played by Jackie Lane.

That's Jackie in the picture - meeting the monster at rehearsals for a new BBC television serial, "Dr. Who and the Ark."
