[edit]

The longest running science fiction adventure series in the world beams down on Monday on WPSX-TV, Channel 3.

Each weeknight at 11, viewers can program their sets to Channel 3 for "Dr. Who" with Tom Baker as the Doctor.

For 20 years on the British Broad-Casting Company the Doctor has solved problems of galactic proportions. Assisted by the loyal Sarah or the lovely Ramona, the Doctor confronts robots and great criminals of the galaxy. He travels through time backwards to Renaissance Italy and forward to the planet Karn and also sideways in his space ship Tardis.

"Dr. Who" devotees in both Britain and America have formed fan clubs, collect memorabilia and gather to watch the episodes. Anyone can become a "Fan of the Day" by writing to Doctor Who, WPSX-TV, Wagner Annex, University Park, Pa. 16802. Then tune in and listen for your name.

In September, "Dr. Who" serials include "Robot," "The Ark in Space," and "The Sontaran Experiment."
