Q.

Is a series version of Dr. Who going to be on in the fall? - Michael Cebrat, Fort Lauderdale

A.

Fox's movie revival of Dr. Who got PBS-like ratings when it aired on May 14. Its Nielsens were more than doubled by the comedies on ABC and NBC. More significantly, it also was outrated by a CBS special called Totally Animals and the first hour of an awful movie, The Stepford Husbands. A week later Fox announced its fall lineup with no sign of Dr. Who. If there are additional Dr. Who shows, they will probably be in the form of TV movies. While you're waiting, you might want to revisit some vintage episodes, which recently have been released on videotape. A double episode, The Visitation/Black Orchid, is on one tape. Ghost Light, Planet of Evil, Kinda, Image of the Fendahl and The Claws of Axos are being sold individually.
