[edit]

JUBILANT Janet Fielding will be the next girl to nurse Dr. Who through the perils of space. And she let down her hair - plus the good doctor's scarf — in celebration yesterday.

"I was amazed they gave me the part," said the 23-year -old Australian actress.

Janet will be making her BBC TV debut when she joins forces with Dr. Who, alias Tom Baker, in the Spring.

She will play the role of Tegan an Australian air hostess.

Janet said: "It's all very exciting." But she should be able to handle it — she once appeared in a Hammer horror film.
