To salute DR. WHO's 21st year on the air, Channel 21 will present a special evening for his fans on Nov. 21. The celebration begins at 7pm with K9 and Company, a new one-hour special of DR. WHO which takes place in Moreton Harwood, where a coven of witches meet and ritually burn a photograph of Lavinia, Sarah Jane Smith's aunt. Two weeks later when Sarah Jane arrives at the village. she finds Lavinia has prematurely left on a U.S. lecture tour leaving only a mysterious crate. Much to Sarah Jane's amazement it contains K9—and was obviously sent to her by Dr. Who—to help in a very special adventure. Next at 8pm is the vintage Five Doctors, a 1 1/2-hour special that reunites all five actors who have portrayed Dr. Who during the series' long run on public television.

In The Five Doctors, Peter Davison and his other-selves, in the form of Jon Pertwee, William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton, have been lifted out of Time and placed in the Death Zone on Gallifrey, while the Doctor, as portrayed by Tom Baker, is trapped in a temporal void. Also Time-scooped to the Zone are some of the Doctor's former companions: Sarah Jane Smith, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and Susan Foreman.

A BBC-TV hit since 1963, DR. WHO is now seen weekly by 98 million fans in 38 countries.
