Who?

I'd like to know if there is a fan club in town or in the area for "Doctor Who," the science fiction show.

Tom Meyer

Lincoln

Action Line: You can write to the fan club — called "Followers of Who?" — at P.O. Box 6753, Omaha 68105.

The "Doctor Who" sequence currently running on the Nebraska Educational Television Network features Tom Baker, the fourth man to play the science fiction hero Dr. Who since the show's inception about 20 years ago, said NETV spokesman Larry Kubert.

The show has enjoyed considerable popularity among NETV viewers and the network plans to run the next sequence, featuring Peter Davison as the latest Dr. Who, sometime this summer, Kubert said.

Caption: The five men who have played the science fiction hero on the PBS series "Doctor Who" and other "Doctor Who" characters are (left to right, back row) Richard Hurndall, the first Dr. Who; Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier; Peter Davison, the latest Dr. Who; Tom Baker, Dr. Who No. 4; Patrick Troughton, Dr. Who No. 2; and Jon Pertwee, Dr. Who No. 3. In front row are Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane and Carol Ann Ford as Susan, the first woman in the series.
