[edit]

I think I've jeopardized my health, sitting up to watch DR. WHO. I'm 71 and my whole system shrieks "Sleep! Sleep!" but my love of science fiction won't give in, and the next day I'm a wreck, from lack of sleep. There ought to be 48 hours in each day instead of only 24. What can you do about that? I'm sure, with the good Doctor's help, something can be done about the speed of the earth's rotation. He seems to be able to manage just about everything else in this and all other solar systems, so he might as well have a go at slowing down our planet.

I am enthusiastic about almost all your programs on PBS, especially all nature series, how-to series, mysteries, WONDERWORKS. The only ones I don't follow are the ones concerning money matters, politics, weather and sports. I find the weather reports confusing, but only because they are so complete and detailed. The new PENNSYLVANIA GAME is interesting and fun. Keep it up. — Rea Whitney, Ulysses

Editor's Note: We are looking at the possibility of changing the air time for DR. WHO. Sometime in early fall, we may move the program to an earlier time in the evening or to a weekend time slot. We hope that will help those who enjoy the program but also need some sleep. In the meantime, perhaps the Doctor can add an additional 24 hours to the day.
