DAVID TENNANT is looking a little worried — perhaps it's the sight of a load of sinister pallbearers.
The Doctor was filming scenes for the Christmas special, set in the Victorian era, in Gloucester. It is unclear who is in the coffin — but at one point Tennant stands by with a grim expression and watches the hearse pass him.
He was joined for yesterday's shoot by Blackpool star David Morrissey, dressed in a tailcoat, while a snow machine created a wintry look. Tennant waved to fans as the crew prepared the set. The Tardis was kept strictly under wraps with a security guard in place.
Secrecy shrouds the Christmas episode's plot but it is believed to feature the Cybermen. Gloucester is often used as a film location because of its historic buildings — the Harry Potter films have been shot in the cathedral.
