DR WHO's new assistant, actress Sophie Aldred, has been experimenting to see how far she can go using a bogus identity at Britain's top hotels.

Often dressed in tracksuit or jeans, she fills out her address on the registration form as "c/- The Tardis". "No-one bats an eye," says Sophie.

"I did it even when I was staying at the Grand Hotel in Brighton a week before the Tory Party conference, when security was supposed to be very tight.

"Nobody said a word."
