First pic of Tardis babe

NEW Dr Who babe Freema Agyeman is ready to role — in her first picture as the Time-lord's sidekick Martha Jones.

Freema, 27, began filming alongside star David Tennant yesterday as medical student Martha in the hit BBC1 sci-fi series.

The Sun revealed in June that the little-known Crossroads actress was tipped to take over from Billie Piper (left), who quit as the Doc's assistant Rose.

Freema, pictured with Tennant outside the Tardis, said yesterday: "I'm still pinching myself. It's been nerve-racking but David's been brilliant in helping me adjust."

Scriptwriters are rumoured to be making the Doctor a DAD in this series, with him revealing he has a son.

The pair's adventures will include meeting William Shakespeare.
