DR. WHO AND THE DALEKS

THERE is very little that can be said about "Dr. Who and the Daleks." Millions of children, and some adults, ire already familiar with old "doc" and his colleagues that their transition to the big screen can offer little new.

But the extraordinary appeal of Terry Nation's space travelers has, if anything, been magnified in this full-length movie.

Once free of the limitations of television, director Gordon Flemyng has let his imagination run riot and produced a slick colourful film.

Peter Cushing is faultless as the eccentric old Dr. Who and comedian Roy Castle lightens the tension with some well-timed comic touches.

There's still time to enter for free "Dr. Who and the Daleks" competition organized by the Granada Cinema, Acton.

The competition is open in all children under the age of 14, and for judging purposes the entries will be divided into three sections with three Dalek prizes for each section.

Either colour the Dalek picture, or get an entry form from the cinema. The closing date is Saturday, August 21, and the outright winner will receive two free seats for 'Dr. Who and the Daleks," when it comes to Acton next week.

The competition is being judged by the manager of the Cinema.
