[edit]

Where have we landed? And the clue for these two young time lords as they step out of Dr Who's Tardis is in the fountains at the left.

It isn't some far-off planet but Festival Square outside Edinburgh's Sheraton Hotel in Lothian Road. But time travellers Ben Clarkson (10) and Jessie Tree (9) look happy to be home.

The Tardis belongs to the Edinburgh and Lothians branch of the Dr Who Appreciation Society, and they brought it to the city centre to celebrate the return of television's favourite time lord.

Society organiser Stuart Halliday said the interest in the series was growing and he hoped the Doctor would be around for many more years. Meanwhile, Ben of Balcarres Street and Jessie from Glengyle Terrace, both Dr Who fans, confessed they would love the chance to travel -- but maybe by more conventional means.
