[edit]

TEN thousand Dr Who fans met in Chicago at the weekend.

All were members of the North American Dr Who Appreciation Society, who invited to their annual convention Sarah Sutton who plays Nyssa and Anthony Ainley, the Master.

The programme's success in America has now reached cult proportions and several TV stations say it is more popular than "Brideshead Revisited". In Britain, next Spring, the biggest ever Dr Who convention will be held at Longleat, Wiltshire.
