[edit]

★★★ SPEARHEAD FROM SPACE, THE DAY OF THE DALEKS, THE ROBOTS OF DEATH (BBC). Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker (all U). Three Doctor Who adventures.

Spearhead is the only one shot on 16mm film and the first in colour. Jon Pertwee's first appearance sees strange meteorites produce the nasty Nestenes, who have designs on Earth. The late Hugh Burden controls the Nestenes and Nicholas Courtney stars as Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart.

Pertwee continues in the Daleks episode, set on 22nd century Earth and featuring the savage ape-like aliens, the Ogrons. Katy Manning co-stars.
