POP princess Billie Piper drew a lot of stares when filming brought the stars out on Queen Street. Bustling shoppers' jaws dropped as Piper and co-star Christopher Eccleston posed for the cameras outside the street's giant Next store.
Dr Who fans have had their fair share of action in Cardiff over the last few months, and a temporary BBC filming city has been set up next to the Millennium Stadium.
Billie, 22, starring as Rose Tyler in the series, which is begin filmed in locations across the city and at the Beeb's Llandaff studios.
Appearing yesterday afternoon in blue jeans, a grey T-shirt and maroon jumper, Billie's look was a far cry from her glam days as a teen model.
Shopper Alison Morris, 31, of Flaxland Avenue, Heath, said: "It is amazing to see behind the scenes of a television show like this.
"Especially one that is going to be so big."
