THE BBC is lining up a clutch of massive Hollywood names to join Dr Who in the Tardis.
The show is such a cult hit Stateside that bosses are convinced they can add some Tinseltown glamour to the cast.
Targets include Tom Cruise, 45, Brad Pitt, 43, Angelina Jolie, 32, and Natalie Portman, 26. Even adopted Brit Madonna, 49, who now lives in London with her family, is in the frame.

An insider said: "BBC producers know they can't pay these stars what they are used to, but what they can offer is an exciting role in a real cutting-edge telly show.
"And the big stars love that kind of kudos." Three Dr Who specials are to be filmed next year and shown in 2009 — prompting the search for A-list talent.
They are expected to be the last appearances for popular Time Lord David Tennant, 36, in the BAFTA-winning show.
Beauty Billie Piper, 25, will reportedly once again play the Doctor's sexy sidekick Rose Tyler. Pop babe Kylie Minogue, 39, has already been lined up to star in this year's Christmas show, as a waitress at the 1912 launch party of the Titanic.
