GAYS WHO failed to attend the Gay Switchboard Benefit at Hammersmith Town Hall last Saturday will be exterminated.
That was the promise made by our gay Dalek friends (pictured above) who joined Switchboard volunteers on a pre-dance promotional troll up and down the Portobello Road.
Between them the two created quite a stir, and leaflets were grabbed by any number of enthusiastic Saturday shoppers.
The machines were operated by a pair of Switchboard volunteers. A tape in Dalek Number One played the Dr Who theme before breaking into a plug for the dance—in authentic Dalek tones.
Gays who stayed away would "be exterminated."
A large band of children pursued the Switchboard group ex-citedly—but some illusions must have taken quite a knock when the two creatures stopped at a local pub for a beer.
