JODIE WHITTAKER feared her life would be ruined when she was announced as the new Doctor Who.
The actress worried that she would relive the famous Notting Hill movie moment where Spike comes out of his home in his undies in front of global media.
Reflecting on last year's announcement, she confessed: "I was sat in my flat and I had this weird moment where [I remembered] in Notting Hill, Rhys Hans comes outside in his pants and there is a wall of photographers. I just thought I am not going to be able to go anywhere —but I was fine. No one noticed.
"There were a couple of mates that live nearby and I walked past and they said, 'Ah you have a good job.' And I was like, 'yeah'.
"I came out with a baseball cap on and I thought that is a bit much, I will take it off."
Jodie, who is the first female Doctor Who, is two weeks away from appearing in her I0-episode run of the sci-fi series.
