I wish to protest most strongly about the quite ridiculous timing a some programmes on television, particularly the screening of Dr Who, a children's programme, at 7.35pm
Around 7.30pm is the time when a person who has returned home from work is ready to settle in front of the television.
He, or she, feels the need for something of topical interest - a discussion programme or news of how the stock market has performed during the day.
Children who an fans of Dr Who have surely had chance to watch television since their return from school.
Dr Who would be best shown during an updated slot of Watch With Mother.
This would help stop the present trend of toddlers going to bed far too late.
