THE sinister of Dalek Mk.1 echoed round Stamford's busy Red Lion Square on Saturday afternoon. But there was no need to worry. The town was not facing an invasion by the strange creatures encountered by television's "Dr. Who." Instead. the throngs of Saturday shoppers were meeting a larger-than-life Dalek model made by the Stamford Y.M.C.A. in a bid to raise money for their building appeal fund.
