[edit]

On January 13, we say au revoir to Peter Davison, who had a short, but illustrious reign as our Sunday night hero, Doctor Who. Jon Pertwee, the third actor in the series to don the Doc's identity, makes a return to television, starting January 20.

Many of Doctor Who's adventures mild compared to Pertwee's real-life exploits. Pertwee not only races motorcycles, hydroplanes, and cars, but is an avid scuba diver and has discovered lost cities under the Adriatic, as having dived for lost treasures off the coast of Spain. No wonder he's not afraid of the big, bad Daleks!
