Dr Zhivago and Doctor Who star Bernard Kay dies aged 86

Bernard Kay, the star of Dr Zhivago, Doctor Who and Coronation Street, has died aged 86.
His friend, actor Toby Hadoke, confirmed that Kay had been found dead at his north London home on Monday. The cause of death has yet to be determined.
In 2006 Kay scooped an award for the first chapter of his memoirs, Maybe A Bastard, in which he described his difficult childhood in pre-war Bolton.
He was a newspaper reporter more than half a century earlier at the Bolton Evening News and The Manchester Guardian.

Kay appared in The Dalek Invasion of Earth, The Crusade, The Faceless Ones and Colony in Space.
