DOCTOR Who's new series will kick off with its first intergalactic lesbian kiss.
The latest Doc Peter Capaldi, has said there will be "no flirting" in the Tardis, unlike his predecessor Matt Smith.
Instead he enjoys a more prickly relationship with his trusty companion Clara (Jenna Coleman, 28).
But that hasn't stopped show boss Steven Moffat, 52, from cheekily slipping a girl-on-girl kiss into the show.
In the series opener called Deep Breath, the newly regenerated Time Lord is reunited with old faves The Paternoster Gang, who include lesbian Silurian Madame Vastra and her lover Jenny Flint.
Secrets
In one scene, they are under threat from killer droids who sense life forms by their breath.
In a bid to escape death, they have to hold their breath to stay invisible but when Jenny (Catrin Stewart, 26) struggles, Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh, 42) locks lips with her to help her breathe.
The saucy scene was unveiled yesterday at the world premiere of the 80-minute episode in Cardiff, where much of the series is filmed.
Some 4,500 fans turned out to welcome the stars. And Capaldi let slip a few secrets about the series.
His sonic screwdriver is "exactly the same" as his predecessor's and he bases his Doctor on "all of the previous actors, not just one".
The series starts on Saturday, August 23, on BBC One.
Guide to the 12-part series
Ep 1. Deep Breath - Opener with a dinosaur in Victorian London. the Paternoster Gang, clockwork droids... oh and a new Doctor. Look out for references to "The Paradise".

Ep 8. Mummy On The Orient Express - The Doc "catches up on his phone calls". But who has left him an SOS?
Ep 9 Ratline - People are disappearing and strange graffiti keeps appearing. And the Tardis shrinks.
Ep 10. Child's Play Kiddie-based episode. A dark fairytale but will it be happy ever after?
Eps 11/12. The Gates Of Paradise/ Death In Heaven - The Cybermen, left, are back for the two-part finale. And we discover "The Paradise".
BOOKIES Ladbrokes are offering odds of 4-6 that Capaldi will play The Doctor at least until the end of series nine next year.

I DON'T think I know who The Doctor is any more." says Tardis traveller Clara Oswald midway through the season eight opener. And who can blame her? In Deep Breath, the poor lass sees the young floppy-haired Time Lord change into a 56-year-old grey haired bloke with a Scottish accent. And fans will also have to bear with it... as it takes a good 50 minutes before Capaldi is given a chance to find his true form. At first he appears mad. Then he appears forgetful calling Clara "thingy" and stressing -I'm not your boyfriend". He jokes about being tempted to wear "a scarf" (Tom Baker's?), shouts "Geronimo" (Matt Smith tribute) and criticises everyone for not having a Scottish accent.
The opener has got everything fans will love. A dinosaur on the loose in Victorian London. The return of Vastra, Jenny and Strax. Evil clockwork androids. And a teaser for the finale ahead... "Spoilers"! There are also new opening titles and a remixed theme tune. Last year the show celebrated 50 years. If it continues to be this good, roll on the 100th anniversary. Fasten your seat belt. It's going to be a monster series!
