IT'S THE BIT WHERE WE ILLUSTRATE WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE IN FUTURE THIS MONTH: THE NEXT SEASON OF THE NATION'S FAVOURITE TV SHOW

MULTI DOCTOR STORY

1 It seems you're fed up with the grandiose end of the world/universe/time story arcs we've been treated to since the RTD era. Instead you'd like to see the threat land solely at the feet of the Doctor, a threat that brings Doctors-past back into the fray. Lysander45 has done Steven Moffat's job over on the forum: "Definitely another Multi-Doctors story with Doctors eight to 11 saving Doctors four to seven, with multiple companions abound. It could be a bumper holiday special." You also seem oddly enthusiastic (yet again) about bringing back one Doctor in particular, with [?] and many more crying out for the return of Doctor Eight Paul McGann. No love for Eric Roberts though.

ALL OF TIME AND SPACE

2 Leadworth may have made a nice change of pace from Doctor Who's typical Cardi..., sorry, "London" skyline but it's still stuck on our boring old green planet, and you'd like to see more alien worlds in the new season. As Subliminal puts it over on the forum, "We've done the time, now let's get off Earth. Be nice to see an alien landscape that looked like a quarry pit just for old times' sake." We're with you subminimal, but quarry pits, are you mad? [?] makes the same point without the crazy talk: "More adventures away from Earth. I know it's mostly down to money but Star Trek managed it."

GOLDEN BOY

3 The complaints may have died down, but there's one thing you've been wishing to change since the opening minutes of "The Eleventh Hour" - the new theme music. Forum-user trollface even goes one further: "A better version of the theme tune and a better version of the vortex." There's also a familiar cry from: "Turn down the music!" But we're with [?] on those asking for Murray Gold to get the boot. "Sorry all you naysayers but Nu Who just wouldn't be the same without Gold's music."

OLD DALEKS BACK

4 Dalektubbies, iDaleks, the Playmobil Children of Skaro; whatever you want to call them, the revamped Daleks got about as warm a reception as Pepsi at a Coca-Cola party. [?] was the voice of the masses on the forum: "Sort out those bloody awful new Daleks - at the very least get rid of the hunched back." Dr Baltar has come up with a way to sort out the wheat from the chaff: "A full-on Dalek war between Davros and the Time War Daleks and the Tellytubby Daleks." While [?] has a different idea: "Less is more, as 'Dalek' and 'The Big Bang' proved. We need to see them cornered, separated from their swarm - menacing!"

LONGER SONG

5 Probably the most common request on the forum, and luckily one which Steven Moffat is all but guaranteed to deliver on (let's face it, the new Daleks aren't going anywhere) is more of the lady in the know - River Song. Eowyningreen was one of the many asking the same thing on the forum: "More, more, more River Song. I hope that we'll see a 'younger' River, having her first interactions with the Doctor. Quite possibly as an enemy at first..." We also like this idea from [?] which would be right up that smarty pants Moffat's alley: "Make the entire season non linear, maybe by having River in every story but meeting the Doctor out of sequence."

ARE YOU LISTENING?

This is advice from the heart, Beeb

Give River Song a series! sockmonster

No Daleks, no Cybermen, no Master. Knappos

Bring in Graham Norton, so a monster can eat him. Roddersj04

Don't care; didn't like this series and loathed Amy so I'm going into suspended animation until the next showrunner change. umopapisdn

New walking, talking prosthetic monsters rather than CGI incarnations or humans with eye stalks in their mouths or giant turkeys. Dolton

Less time spent on "clever" story arcs and more time spent on characterisation. stcoop

Raston Warrior Robot! glunark

Fewer two-parters. They tend to drag and the second episode either doesn't live up to the first or the first episode is just build-up. mjh_09

More warmth. There's been a definite lack of emotion this year, with "cleverness" failing to fill the gap. Where was this year's "Human Nature"? Wolf 359

I'd actually like to see Amy scowling and pouting more. Mr. Lavigne

Given the new Doctor's footballing skills, I would like to see him sat just behind the front two in an attacking 4-3-1-2 formation. tameblue

Address the Valeyard issue the possibility of an evil Doctor has some mileage. Frank Castle

An adaptation of the Mark Gatiss New Adventure Nightshade, it would make a wonderful two-parter. jokes0105

Less of the perception filter. assius335

The Doctor landing in one of his old adventures like DS9's "Trials And Tribble-ations". Moloch

Human-focused episodes like "Vincent And The Doctor". Tao

More of the TARDIS interior! tao

A CGI Myrka! DoctorDave

The return of Adric. He's not really dead you know. Son of Solo

Rory surviving the series would be nice. He's a great character and I don't want to watch him die again. Robell

Some new monsters. I love the bads the Moff created (Empty Child and Weeping Angels) so more please. Iora4dan

More of the Doctor in a fez! Fezzes are cool! Kudos

Give the Dalek-centred episodes a rest. mini_beasie

Let Matt Smith be as mad as he wants. Endle

Bring back Captain Jack! He's lonely now without Ianto. Darinka

Charlie Brooker would be good to write a specific type of episode. Something with elements of "Idiot's Lantern" and "Bad Wolf", for instance. Fricky

No reset button. Trumpetmike

The Zygons. Always loved them, always will. stephs fella

A FIXED TIME-SLOT! FreakyBeanz

Give it back its budget. Clown Asylum

Mondas Cybermen. I think there could be an interesting story to be had there. Kal-El
