DOCTOR Who will stay on TV for at least five more years, executive producer Steven Moffat has predicted.
The BBC1 sci-fi drama, launched in 1963, returned to television screens in 2005 - and last month marked the 10th anniversary of its revival.
Moffat told Doctor Who Magazine he expected the show to hit 15 years in 2020-- and could go beyond that. He said: "I thought it would last 10 years. It's going to do a minimum of 15. It could do 26!"
Moffat said casting the show - which stars Peter Capaldi as the Time Lord was tough.
He said: "It's not easy to find new Doctors." Moffat added: "Ten years on, our ratings are pretty much the same. Actually, internationally, bigger."
