INBETWEENERS star Greg Davies admits getting a part in the Doctor Who Christmas special was a pain in the neck - quite literally.
He will be seen playing a character called King Hydroflax, left.
His head is transplanted on top of a giant murderous robot that goes on the rampage and chases his wife River Song (Alex Kingston) and The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) around the galaxy.
But Greg, 47, had to be filmed as a detached head on a table as well as squeezing inside a robot suit. He tells Doctor Who Magazine: "It was the most uncomfortable shoot I have ever done and there were several times I was trapped under a table.
"Even inside the robot costume was not a place you can relax. I had to have a massage one night because my back was killing me so much from one particular under-the-table move."
The Husbands Of River Song is on BBC One on Christmas Day at 5.15pm.
