DR. WHO star Tom Baker today married Ulster actress Lalla Ward, who ones played the part of his time-travelling assistant Romana.
The couple, whose romance Misted at the beginning of the year. were wed at Chelsea register office with not a dalek in sight.
And there was no sign of the Tardis time machine to whisk them away from bustling King's Road. The wedding car was a much more mundane baby Renault.
Asked about their immediate plans, Tom said: "I have to work tomorrow and restart Dr. Who on Monday. I'm going to be too busy for a honeymoon, probably until February."
Lalla, daughter of Viscount and Lady Bangor, commented: "Our wedding night and he will be rehearsing at a.m. romantic."
Although Tom Baker is soon to end his travels as time lord Dr. Who, the couple have no plans to work together. "I think I'd like to work with somebody different now," said Lalla. "After all I'm going to be married to him."
