Dr. Who fans are in for a real treat on Saturday when the Lafayette Area Science Fiction Society and the Lafayette Public Library's Young Adult Department sponsor a "Dr. Who Day "
The fun-filled day, beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until 5 p.m., will include continuous showings of episodes of the film series, "Dr. Who," that have not been shown in our area. Short informal discussions will follow each episode A costume contest will be held, and a prize will be given for the best Dr. Who costume. Collector's comic books will be given away in drawings for door prizes. Refreshments will be provided.
And if you like to read science fiction, a special display of the library's science fiction collection will be available for you to browse through. Books from this collection may be checked out for a three-week period.
All of the activities for Dr. Who Day will be held in the library's meeting room. No admission fees will be charged. Fans of all ages are welcome to join in the celebration.
