[edit]

DR WHO's latest scary monster is reckoned to be the most bone-chilling non-human yet – but we reckon the Big Brother housemates are just as frightening. The hit sci-fi show's executive producer Russell T Davies believes the Ood, a tentacled alien with evil red eyes due to hit screens on Saturday, is a real beast. But here JAMES MOORE has matched Dr Who's monsters from the last two series with the crankiest creatures from BB7 house...

Big Brother Beast: IMOGEN, above Dr Who Monster Mate: MOXX OF BALHOON, right

Why: OK so at first glance the former Miss Wales doesn't look much like this overweight creature – but his way of greeting people by spitting and his habit of making terse comments is much like straight-talking Imogen.

Big Brother Beast: MIKEY, above Monster Mate: FOREST OF CHEEM, right

Why: The 22-year-old was desperate to get it on with Grace and he's been sent barking with feelings of frustration.

Big Brother Beast: GEORGE, left Monster Mate: FACE OF BOE, above Why: He is a creature with an aristocratic air and features that match posh George. In this series the Face told the Doctor that he had grown weary of the world – just like the 19-year-old student who said he couldn't take the idea of fame before and walked out of the house.

Big Brother Beast: LEA, right Monster Mate: ABZORBALOFF, above

Why: The slob-like creature played by Peter Kay in the new series is a spitting image for balloon chested Lea. Being trapped under those monster mammaries sounds a lot like how the Abzorbaloff kills its victims – by absorbing them into its body.

Big Brother Beast: SEZER, above Monster Mate: WEREWOLF, right Why: With his hungry good looks sex obsessed Sezer always seem to be on the prowl – having already snogged Imogen. His monster match is definitely the horrible hound with a beastly bite.

Big Brother Beast: PETE, above Monster Mate: CYBERMAN, right Why: The cyborgs returned to this series of Doctor Who – one of his most famous foes. Pete's not

quite as cold and calculating as the interplanetary tin cans, but that slightly vacant expression on the face makes him a dead ringer.

Big Brother Beast: GRACE, right

Monster Mate: OOD, above

Why: One of the newest Dr Who creations, these have evil red eyes. Like posh totty Grace, you get the impression they have got a hidden agenda.

Big Brother Beast: GLYN, left Monster Mate: CLOCKWORK DROID, right Why: Hard to work out what makes them tick like dippy Glyn. They wanted Madame De Pompadour's brain and Glyn sometimes looks like they got his already.

Big Brother Beast: BONNIE, above Monster Mate: DALEK, right

Why: With her whining voice and narky expression, Bonn-eh must be related to the famous monsters. She may have been "exterminated" by viewers, but the thought of a return makes you shudder...

Big Brother Beast: LISA, left Monster Mate: SLITHEEN, right

Why: These clawed creatures looked quite cute when they appeared in the last series of Dr Who but just like Lisa they can be cranky when annoyed.

Big Brother Beast: NIKKI, right Monster Mate: SISTERS OF PLENITUDE, left

Why: Unlikely beasts who evolved from cats to run a sinister hospital on Earth in the future. Appear rather sweet natured but, like 24-year-old Nikki, they know how to get their claws out.
