[edit]

Twenty - five - year - old Caroline John says that if anyone is more delighted than she is at her part in the new Dr Who it's her 10-year-old brother. Caroline plays a scientist when the series returns on BBC1 in colour on 3 January. 'It's a good, well-written part,' she says. 'And though most of my work has been in the theatre, which I think is wonderful, I'm really looking forward to this television season.'

After working in the theatre at Ipswich this summer Caroline has had a holiday in France to set her up for the Dr Who filming, which has just started.
