The six-and-a-half minute mini-episode called The Night of The Doctor was released as prequel to the 50th anniversary episode The Day of The Doctor. It was a stunner. Paul McGann's eighth Doctor was back and we finally got to see what happened to him. We also understood how John Hurt's Doctor comes to be. It, of course, left fans frothing at the mouth for answers. But this is not the only Doctor Who mini-episode. There are the prequels to the Amy Pond storyline called Pond Life as well as mini specials like Time Crash.
