Something strange has happened to the famous police box...

Everyone knows the Tardis is bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside, but this week the police box shrinks to such a size that the Doctor and Clara can barely fit in it.

Peter Capaldi's Time Lord investigates the strange case of the shrunken Tardis in Flatline, an episode that features moving murals and new aliens called the Boneless.

'The Doctor is supposed to be taking Clara home, but it doesn't quite work: reveals Jamie Mathieson, who wrote this week's story. 'They open the doors of the Tardis only to discover they have landed by a council estate in Bristol. And when they clamber out, they discover that the Tardis is now just five-feet tall!

'While the Doctor tries to figure out how it has happened, Clara wanders off to the estate — and that's where the mystery really begins.'

On the estate, Clara finds all is not well in the neighbourhood as she bumps into a ragtag collection of ex-offenders on community service — including old-timer Fenton, played by Auf Wiedersehen, Pet's Chris Fairbank, and teenage graffiti artist Rigsy, played by Joivan Wade.
