HER NOW the infamous Daleks are in full colour and helping to tight them is 12-year-old Roberta Tovey.

Roberta stars with Peter Cushing and Roy Castle in the brand new Technicolor film "Dr. Who and the Daleks."

'I play Dr. Who's granddaughter," said petite Roberta, who lives in the Uxbridge-road, Shepherds Rush. "It was very exciting. Especially the day the Daleks got out of control and fired at me."

She shivered at the memory. "They use fire extinguishers really. It went all over my back," Roberta wrinkled her nose. "It was a bit cold, too."

A pupil of the Corona Stage School in Ravenscourt Park, little Roberta is no stranger to films. Her last big hit was one of the children in "High Wind in Jamaica."

"Daddy first interested me in acting." He is actor George Tovey. "I was about five at the time," Roberta giggled shyly at the memory. "We were watching television together. Then suddenly I saw him on the screen. I could not understand it as he was also sitting beside me."

Now it is Daddy's turn to watch Roberta. It is the same for the Hammersmith Guides. Roberta, a keen Guide, always takes the company en masse to see all her films. At the moment they are all agog with excitement waiting for "Dr. Who and the Daleks" to come Hammersmith way.
