Followers of the British program "Dr. Who" will be able to see a 1 1/2 hour TV special at 10 p.m. Aug. 24, on KOCV-TV/Channel 36.
"Many of the viewers in the Permain Basin have requested that we show Dr. Who as a regular part of our programming," John McCarroll, manager of the station says. "We have not purchased the entire package of 'Dr. Who' programs at this time, but we are considering making it a part of the fall season."
"Dr. Who" has a wide following among public television viewers in other parts of the United States and around the world. The series features a scientist who is able to transport himself into other times and dimensions.
The 90-minute special presentation will feature all five of the actors who have portrayed "Dr. Who." The program was just obtained by the Odessa-based Public Broadcasting Service station and aired initially at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 16.
