Actor Colin Baker made his name in the BBC series The Brothers playing the loathsome Paul Merroney. But now he has come in from the cold to play the much longer time travelling doctor. Yesterday 40- year-old Colin that his co-star American actress Nicola Bryant (above). She will play the doctor's assistant Perpigilliam. Colin, who will be the sixth Dr. Who is married to actress Marlo Wyatt. He has a seven-year-old son Tom from his marriage to actress Lisa Goddard. Coincidentally, one of Colin's predecessors as Dr Who was another Tom Baker, but the two actors are not related. Colin takes over from Peter Davison, who leave the series next March.
