DOCTOR Who star Karen Gillan had to stage her own "regeneration" on stage at the weekend from a long dress to a short skirt.
The actress, 22, who plays Amy Pond in the sci fi show, was co-hosting The BBC's Doctor Who Prom at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
She sported a long dress in the first half of the music-and-monsters concert.
But as she had to keep rushing on and off stage and dash round the auditorium she found the frock a hindrance.
So before the second half of the gig she changed into a trademark short skirt.
The prom, featuring music from the BBC show and classical tunes, has been filmed and will air on BBC3 next month.
