TELEVISION'S latest Dr Who star, Colin Baker, makes a spectacular debut in the top role tomorrow night.

But he is one person who will not be able to see it—because of burglars.

As the 40-year-old actor prepared for his big day, thieves broke into his Buckinghamshire home and stole a television and video.

"I'm on television for three days In a row but I will not be able to see any of it," Colin said today. He also appears on BBC's Blue Peter tonight and the Saturday Superstore at the weekend.

Colin will be seen regenerating from present Dr Who star Peter Davison, who "dies" in tomorrow night's episode.

"Whoever would actually want to be regenerated into me?" Colin grinned as he posed with his pretty television assistant, Nicola Bryant.

"I began watching Dr Who when the late William Hartnell began the role — but I never thought I'd actually get to play the Dr myself," Colin said.
