DALEKS, Doctors, and Stormtroopers landed at the Great Central Railway in Loughborough last weekend for a fun-filled weekend of Sci-Fi.

Pictured is Allan Window dressed as a doctor, and event organiser Jules Ford.

The event saw characters from Doctor Who and Star Wars who families could have their photo taken with. There were also stalls, face painting and portraits being done.

The event was based at Loughborough, but there was also live music at the Quorn station where 'DJ Star Track' performed.

Jules Ford, who works in marketing and events at the Great Central Railway, said: "It's something different and it's for the whole family to enjoy. Holding events like this means people can enjoy the sci-fi, and also see the trains and what we do at the station."

Loughborough resident Mark Smith attended the event with a dalek he made.

He said: "One of my neighbours who volunteers at the station spotted my dalek and suggested I should bring it to the event. It's been a brilliant day so far."
