The Wisconsin Educational Television Network reports its spring fund drive was its most successful.

The 16-day campaign prompted 3,862 pledges for a total of $185,225, exceeding the goals of 2,800 pledges and $140,000.

Corporate challenge grants brought the grand total to $188,225. The money is used for program acquisitions.

"Dr. Who" fans led the way with pledges for $28,115. Among other big-pledge periods, "Great Moments with National Geographic" brought in $11,590, and a showing of the movie "The Music Man" brought in $9,462.
