[edit]

ALL IS NOT LOST! The BBC (bless 'em), have unearthed some original programmes featuring the good Doctor and those murderous litter-bins — The Daleks. From 1963 comes a seven part story (on two video cassettes), featuring William Hartnell as Dr Who battling the aformentioned Daleks in 'The Dead Planet' and 'The Expedition'. THRILL as the Doctor and Susan are trapped in the subterranean city. GASP as Ian snaggs his cardy on a papier-mache rock, SWOON as you hear Ron Grainer's original soundtrack music (later glammed-up by some young upstart to keep the series up-to-date!). The BBC has had the good sense to retain all the opening and closing sequences too, good on 'em!

Also out are two later stories, both in living colour, but it's the B&W stuff that gets the adrenalin going.

WIN! WIN! WIN! 'Strange Things' are giving away four sets of these videos! The first four entries out of the sack, giving the correct answers to the following easy questions, will each WIN a set of videos. Okay? Here goes...

1 Name the planet on which the Daleks first lived.

2 What month and year was the first programme screened?

3 What's the name of the Doctor's 'space ship'?

4 How many Doctors have there been to date? Get those answers on a postcard pronto! and send 'em to:
